Marry Me

“Forever can never be long enough for me, To feel like I’ve had long enough with you.” — Train, “Marry Me”

When Frank Valli sang “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”, he was most likely singing about the love Nicole and Oscar share for each other.

A mid-September day full of blue skies and a warm late-summer sun—along with the gorgeous Orland Chateau—was the site for the wedding of these two souls. Entwined and wrapped in each other, steadfast in their love, Nicole and Oscar were enveloped by family and friends as they started the next chapter of an already-wonderful journey together.

Nicole and Oscar started the day with a First Touch. Standing on adjoining sides of one of front pillars of the Chateau, Oscar and Nicole interlaced fingers. Nicole, beaming like a child at Christmas, and Oscar, streaming tears of joy at being so close to the love of his life. To call it a priceless moment is an understatement to how much joy, love, and happiness was happening. The only sadness…the two had to temporarily part to get ready for the ceremony.

Held in the Chateau’s courtyard, Nicole and Oscar’s ceremony was a fantastic overview of their lives together:

  • Nicole’s smile beaming even brighter as she turned the corner to see Oscar waiting for her at the end of the aisle;
  • Oscar shedding more tears as his eyes locked on Nicole, as she approached him walking down the aisle;
  • Evelyn, Oscar’s sister, not only officiating the ceremony but sharing funny and loving moments of Oscar and Nicole’s journey together so far;
  • Oscar and Nicole groovin’ and glidin’ down the aisle after the ceremony, elated and energetic while their family and friends cheered them on!

Immediately following the ceremony, Nicole and Oscar took time to get portraits with everyone. The couple were rock stars, surrounded by adorning fans, as a continual flow of first family combinations, and then friends, took turns getting their moment with Nicole and Oscar. It was a glorious combination chaos and beauty. And it was a blast!

After giving the guests of honor time to recharge after the courtyard portrait session, it was time for the reception. That rockstar vibe was in full effect here as well. Each bridal party combination introduced like sports stars being cheered on by adorning fans. And Nicole and Oscar, entering like champs, bouncing around the room, helping elevate the crowd to even more dizzying levels of energy and emotion.

Speeches were made, with both Best Man Chris and Maid of Honor Alyssa sharing their histories, and some laugh-inducing stories, with the crowd. Post speeches and dinner, it was time for their first dance. To the sounds of Train’s “Marry Me”, Nicole and Oscar embraced each other, swaying with each other, soaking each other in, and savoring the emotional magnitude of the day.

As their reception continued, Nicole and Oscar stepped back out to the court yard to get some portraits done. A contrast to the rock concert vibes inside while the reception kept going, Nicole and Oscar breathed in some quieter moments, their faces awash in love, at ease, relaxed, savoring both each other, and the moments being captured.

Their portrait session over, Nicole and Oscar headed back inside to continue the celebration. a They mixed dance floor shenanigans, with going around to thank everyone who joined them in celebrating their milestone day. It was the icing on the (wedding) cake to a fantastic day awash in emotion and energy.
