Below you’ll find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions I get asked most about working with AwestrucKen Photography.

How Far in Advance Should I Book My Wedding?

As soon as possible. Ideally, no later than three (3) months before your wedding date. Weekends tend to book up quickly, especially during peak wedding season.

What Happens if You Become Ill on the Day of My Wedding?

This is a great question that I get a lot. As a professional, I have a back up plan. I am a member of multiple organizations and groups that supply replacement photographers if a true emergency were to arise. I can reach out too these sources should I not be available on the day of your wedding.

How Do Payments Work?

I require a 20% non-refundable security retainer to hold your wedding date. I require the remaining 80% no later than the day of your wedding date.

Do You Accept Payment Plans?

Sure thing! I do require the 20% up front to book and you must be paid in full by the day of your wedding. Outside of that, I’d be happy to arrange a payment plan with you. In the past, I’ve set up monthly payments, or three to four payment installations that occur over time. I am more than willing to work out a unique payment plan with you!

What Forms of Payment Do You Take?

Cash, check, debit/credit card, Zelle, and Paypal. If you have other methods of payment, please inquire to find out if it is accepted.

Do You Provide Customized Packages?

Not all weddings are the same—I get it! For that reason, I can provide a customized wedding package to suit your needs. These customized packages are for weddings that are far outside the norm (for example, a very short, intimate wedding between only parents and the bride/groom). Talk to me and I’ll make it work!

Can I Just Hire You for an Engagement Session and Not a Wedding?

Yes, you can! You know I’d love to photograph both, but I’m always up for an engagement session. Please contact me for more information on e-session cost and coverage.

Do You Provide Partial-day Coverage?

At this time, AwestrucKen Photography doesn’t offer partial wedding day coverage. Inquire about our package prices to see which package is the best suit for your wedding.

Do You Ask That All Couples Have a First Look, or is it Optional?

Not at all. This is completely optional. Both options have their perks and is a personal choice.

Do You Bring Assistants?

If you choose a package that includes an assistant (second photographer), yes. Otherwise, it’s just me.

Can I Hire an Additional Photographer to Shoot Our Wedding?

The contract you sign states that AwestrucKen Photography photographers are the only photographers allowed to shoot on your wedding day. This helps promote our creativeness and ensures you get the best photos. We do offer additional shooters depending on the photo package you choose. As long as guests do not infringe upon our space, they can take pictures with their cameras/phones.

Do You Have to Eat a Plated Meal at the Reception?

I do require a meal during the reception. From sun up to sundown, I am putting all my efforts into making your day special. Having a nice meal will give me the energy to keep the party going! If I go on break, I prefer to eat when you eat. Who wants photos of them with their mouths full, anyways?

Do I Own the Images/What Rights Do I Have to the Digital Prints?

When you hire AwestrucKen Phototgraphy, you are given a “License for Personal Use”.

The license gives you the right to use the images to make your own prints, or post on social media (without additional edits). AwestrucKen Photography still owns the actual copyright and may use the images for marketing purposes.

Do I Receive Images as You Shot Them or Will They Be Edited?

Your images come to you fully edited by AwestrucKen Photography. I do not provide files straight out of the camera to prevent any of my work getting misrepresented by outside parties.

Are There Extra Costs to Have the Images Edited?

No. You will have a gallery of hand-edited photos fixed to perfection.

How Long Does it Take to Get My Pictures?

AwestrucKen Photography works diligently to edit your photographs and get them to you in a timely fashion. Our typical delivery rate runs between two weeks during the slower season and up to six weeks out during our busiest season. We want to make sure every image and product is perfect!

Do You Provide a Wedding Album?

Yes! My “Master Collection” wedding package comes with a wedding album. You can always add an additional album to your package.
