To see what you find” Jason Mraz, “I Won’t Give Up”
In mid-December, Christina and Brian declared their vows in front of an intimate group of family and friends at Victory Tap, completing a journey that started years before.
Hours before the ceremony, the celebration started at Brian’s condo, where Christina got ready. Brian waited out in the living room, eager to see the love of his life in her wedding dress. At peak excitement, Christina snuck up behind Brian, while his children and her right-hand woman—Jen—looking on, soaking in the magic of the moment. The look on Brian’s face spoke volumes. A beaming smile. A glowing face. And an embrace warm enough to fill the entire condo.
Before heading out for formal pictures, a few pictures were snapped with the First Look audience, and Christina’s dogs: Athena and Mario. The dogs even had their own wedding attire for the occasion. 😊 Things wrapped up with a couple of quick images of the soon-to-be newlyweds, before heading over to the Art Institute for photos of them.
Dashing through the rain/snow…ok, not dashing, but driving with a purpose in downtown Chicago, Christina and Brian arrived at the Institute, excited to get images at one of their favorite locations in the city. From the Hartwell Memorial Window, to Gallery 140 where the infamous statue of Buddha resides, to the A Sunday on La Grande Jatte in Gallery 240, Christina and Brian celebrated, laughed, hugged, and loved.
Wrapping up in the Griffin Court area, it was back to dashing through the rain/snow as Brian and Christina were off to Victory Tap—a beautiful establishment located on Michigan Avenue, south of the Art Institute.
Before the ceremony, Christina and Brian spent time accepting congratulations from their inner circle, and getting family/friend shots with those they cherished most. In a room adorned with decorations provided those same family and friends. It was the epitome of how supportive everyone was for them (Christina and Brian).
Their ceremony followed soon after. In the early evening, Christina and Brian shared stories of the journey that brought them together, separated them, and then eventually brought them back together. They declared vows and un-ending love for each other, filling many eyes (not just theirs) with tears of joy.
After their ceremony, while everyone else was enjoying dinner and catching up with friends not seen in along time, Christina and Brian snuck off to the front room, where they enjoyed an unofficial First Dance. It was a moment for just the two of them to breathe, to enjoy each other aside from the hustle of the day. No friends. No family. Just them, taking some much-needed alone time and enjoying the culmination of their story (at least to that point ). 😊
The remainder of the evening the newlyweds spent time with everyone. It was both calm and energetic—the warmth of the congratulations, mixed with the excitement of the day, all combined to end Christina and Brian’s wedding day magnificently.
Let’s raise a toast to Christina and Brian. Their deep connection, expressed through every look, smile, and hug, has created a love story that stands out as one of the most remarkable and unforgettable romances around.
“For us to work, we didn’t break, we didn’t burn, We had to learn, how to bend without the world caving in” — Jason Mraz, “I Won’t Give Up”
